Windows Phone 8.1 does not upload / sync camera roll photos to OneDrive

Recently my Lumia 920 with Windows Phone 8.1 stopped uploading photos to OneDrive.
Searching the web i found out, that this happens to all photos taken with "Auto Upload" being turned off!
I had "Auto Upload" turned of to save some high speed volume. Even after turing it on again, the photos i took while i was turned of did not sync to OneDrive automatically.

How-I-fixed-it:
There's a very usefull app called "Camera Roll Sync" in the Windows AppStore which allows to sync the photos manually.
Here's the AppStore URL: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-ca/store/app/camera-roll-sync/5b7e86ad-32f7-47f5-95a0-eda5ef0abb31

Outlook 2013 does note sync contact birthday to outlook.com for contacts copied from contact folder

I wanted to switch my contact management from OpenXChange/Outlook to Outlook.com/Outlook.  I'm using Outlook 2013 (15.0.4615.1000) on Windows 8.

I followed the steps described here: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2844991/en-us and copied all contacts from local Outlook folder to the contact folder of my outlook.com account.

I turned out, that the contacts were synced, but the birthday date for all of them was gone. Even manually entering the date in Outlook did not fix it.

How-I-fixed-it:
- Export all contacts to a csv-file from Outlook
- Manually import the contacts from the csv-file in outlook.com

Open-Xchange OXtender 2 issues with Outlook mail sync, some mails missing on the client

I use the Open-Xchange OXtender 2 to sync my groupware account with Outlook 2013  client at work.

The Open-Xchange Server Version is 7.2.2-Rev 14, The OXtender 2 Version is 7.0.64.2861 (32 bit). My OS is Windows 8 (64 bit) with Office 2013 (32 bit).

A few days ago i realized, that some mails in my server inbox did not appear in the Outlook inbox, but neither the mail content nor the OXtender logs gave me helpful information why it happened to this particular mails.

So i decided to "reset" the OXtender local cache as described here: (Be careful! All your local data is lost! Backup first in case not all the data is on the server!)

Use the SupportTool to re-create OXtender 2 MAPI services
http://oxpedia.org/wiki/index.php?title=Outlook_OXtender_2_Recreate_Service

I found the support tool on my computer here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Open-Xchange\OXtender 2 for Microsoft Outlook\Profile

This is how it looks like:

After re-creating the service, the sync was working fine again.

Cannot create a new contact group (button is gray/disabled) in Outlook 2013 using my outlook.com account and Exchange ActiveSync EAS

I recently switched from Outlook 2010 to Outlook 2013 and also started to used the online version of Outlook.com. I moved my contacts to the new account.
But when i tried to create a new contact group, i couldn't, because the button was grayed out.
I did some search in the web on this issue an seems like there's no real "solution" to get this working because the Exchange ActiveSync protocol that is used between Outlook 2013 and Outlook.com does not support contact groups according to: http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-outlook/contact-group-gray/da54e419-9c18-4d3b-9045-052ca1c90760

But at least I found out, that it's still possible to create contact groups in Outlook.com online and that the group name becomes a category of this contact in Outlook 2013. Displaying the contacts grouped by category and sending an email to such a group has a similar effect as using a contact group, although I would be much happier if the EAS would support contact groups by nature.

Here's a description how the group/category-thing works:
http://www.msoutlook.info/question/759

Unfortunately it does not work the other way round. Assigning a category in to a contact in Outlook 2013 does not sync back to Outlook.com nor creating a group for These contacts :-(

Office 365, Outlook 2013: OpenXChange OXTender 2 MAPI Mail profile error "oxstor.dll" could not be loaded

Today i installed Office 365 in parallel to my existing Office 2010 on my Windows 8 Computer. Under Outlook 2010 i use OpenXChange OXTender 2 - Version 7.0.62 to sync with OpenXChange Groupware.
After installing Outlook i created a new mail profile. But in Outlook 2013 i can't open the MAPI Folder. Clicking on it an error message Pops up "The Folder could not be expanded.... MAPI was unable to load the Information service "oxstor.dll" ..."

I also re-installed OXTender, but this did not fix it. Under Outlook 2010 the sync is still working fine.

I posted the question here:
http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_365hp-outlook/cant-sync-outlook-2013-with-openxchange-because-of/f87f287c-e62a-4e5b-994c-da90769bf00c

https://forum.open-xchange.com/showthread.php?7769-Outlook-2013-quot-Der-Informationsdienst-quot-oxstor-dll-quot-konnte-nicht-geladen-werden-quot

How-i-fixed-it:
The document Outlook OXtender 2 Best Practices states, that it does not work having both Office 2013 and 2013 installed in parallel:
...
Please note that the following is not supported:
  • Office 2010 Home and Business test version
  • MS Outlook running in a virtual environment (e.g. VMware or Parallels Desktop)
  • Using both OL2007 and OL2013
  • Using both OL2010 and OL2013
....

I removed Office 2010 from my Computer and re-installed Outlook OXTender again, created a new profile and... it works.
