Android 14 cannot print on Canon printer

After updating to Android 14 on my Google Pixel 6, I was not able to print any more using my Canon Maxify GX7050. The printer is connected using the LAN. Android did not detect the printer in the network any more nor did the Canon print app.

How I fixed it:

I disconnected the printer from the LAN, disabled and re-enabled LAN on the printer an re-connected it to the network. After that, Android detected the printer and I was able to print again.

Dell XPS 15 7590 with Wi-Fi 6 AX1650 looses connection or cannot connect and disturbes surrounding WiFi / WLAN

I am facing WiFi issues with my Dell XPS 15 7590 and the Killer Wireless 1650 WiFi card. Installing latest Windows 10 and Dell Updates, replacing Dell WiFi Drivers by Killer Drivers (Aug 2nd) did not fix the problems.
On some WiFi I only can connect, if I disable ac/ax in the card driver properties or set the 2.4 GHz to 802.11b or  802.11g (Otherwise Windows keeps prompting for WPA key, even if it is correct).  On others the connection frequently drops for 1-2 seconds and then reconnects, even if I am just browsing (no heavy load on the card).
How-I-fixed-it:
Found the solution in the Dell community forum:
https://www.dell.com/community/XPS/XPS-15-7590-disconnecting-Wifi/td-p/7365191

Found out that Killer AX1650 is based on the Intel AX200NGW:
I downloaded the Intel drivers for the AX200:
https://downloadcenter.intel.com/download/29003/Windows-10-Wi-Fi-Drivers-for-Intel-Wireless-Adapters?product=189347

I downloaded the driver removal software from Killer:
http://support.killernetworking.com/software/

I uninstalled the Killer drivers and rebooted my computer.
Then I installed the Intel drivers.

In the Device Manager it then looks like this:

Windows Phone 8.1 ActiveSync Error 86000106 with Open-XChange groupware

My Windows Phone 8 OS-Version: 8.10.12397.895 startet to throw error 86000106 when syncing with my company's Open-XChange groupware server.

Found similar issues described in a forum, but that did not help for me:

http://answers.microsoft.com/de-de/winphone/forum/wp8-wpemail/fehler-bei-active-sync-fehler-86000106/a69fb145-29d2-4c12-8730-7ecbd389787e?rtAction=1404212848646

https://mailbox.org/windows-phone-8-1-fehlermeldung-beim-synchronisieren/

The fixes suggested to change sync interval from "based on usage" to "manual".

How-I-fixed-it:
I deleted the particular Exchange ActiveSync Account on my phone and added it again. The account syncs OK since this.

Windows store does not show 8.1 upgrade / Cannot install because of missing admin priviliges / Administrator-Rechte Fehlermeldung

I tried to upgrade my sisters' brand new Dell laptop to Windows 8.1.
Doing that, i run into two problems:
1. Even after installing all Windows 8 updates, Windows store did not show me the 8.1 upgrade.

How-I-fixed-it:
I had to switch  to start screen and type "wsreset". Right click on the search result and select "Run as Administrator".

Having done that, I rebootet the system and the upgrade was shown.

2. I started the 8.1 upgrade, but there was a message telling me, I have to logon with admin priviliges to perform the upgrade. But i was logged on as the one and only Administrator on the machine.
In German:
Sie benötigen ein Konto mit Admin-Rechten um Win 8.1 zu installieren..Melden Sie sich mit Admin-Konto erneut an und versuchen sie es erneut

How-I-fixed-it:
I manually installed Windows Update KB2871389 on the computer:
http://www.microsoft.com/de-de/download/details.aspx?id=40098

After installation and a reboot, i succesfully ugraded to Windows 8.1

WiFi Authentication issues/failed after Standby/Hibernate after Upgrading to Windows 8.1 with Intel 4965AGN on Dell XPS M1330 with Fritz!Box 7330

Before upgrading from Windows 8 to 8.1, everything was working fine on my computer. After upgrading to 8.1 yesterday, it happens, that my Computer does not re-connect to my WiFi after StandBy/Hibernate. I have to disable/enable the Adapter to connect to the WiFi again.
My Router reports that the "Autentication failed" for my adapter's MAC-Address. I have a Fritz!Box 7330 with latest Firmware. The error message is "WLAN-Anmeldung ist gescheitert: Autorisierung fehlgeschlagen".
The Network Adapter is a Intel® Wireless WiFi Link 4965AGN in a Dell XPS M1330.
I went through numerous threads on the forums reporting similar issues with Intel WiFi Adapters, but none of the suggestions fixed my Problem.

The Driver Version displayed for the Adapter is 13.3.0.137, dated 15.08.2010 by Microsoft.

How-I-fixed it:
In the device Power Management settings uncheck "Allow the computer to turn off this device to save power". Since i did this, the WiFi is stable.

Update:
Found out that the same problem occurs with Intel 3945 ABG network adapter. Fix also works for this adapter.

Open-Xchange OXtender 2 issues with Outlook mail sync, some mails missing on the client

I use the Open-Xchange OXtender 2 to sync my groupware account with Outlook 2013  client at work.

The Open-Xchange Server Version is 7.2.2-Rev 14, The OXtender 2 Version is 7.0.64.2861 (32 bit). My OS is Windows 8 (64 bit) with Office 2013 (32 bit).

A few days ago i realized, that some mails in my server inbox did not appear in the Outlook inbox, but neither the mail content nor the OXtender logs gave me helpful information why it happened to this particular mails.

So i decided to "reset" the OXtender local cache as described here: (Be careful! All your local data is lost! Backup first in case not all the data is on the server!)

Use the SupportTool to re-create OXtender 2 MAPI services
http://oxpedia.org/wiki/index.php?title=Outlook_OXtender_2_Recreate_Service

I found the support tool on my computer here:
C:\Program Files (x86)\Open-Xchange\OXtender 2 for Microsoft Outlook\Profile

This is how it looks like:

After re-creating the service, the sync was working fine again.

Outlook 2007 Inbox shows blank mails with no date that cannot be deleted

Today i cleaned up my Outlook 2007 inbox and deleted some old mails. Suddenly a couple of mails in the list were shown blank (No sender/receiver, no subject) with the date "None".
Scrolling through the inbox list the scroll stuck as soon as i came to those entries. I could not select the entries nor delete them.

How-i-fixed-it:
I seems like the pst folder went corrupt.
I found the solution here: http://office.microsoft.com/de-de/outlook-help/durchsuchen-und-reparieren-fehlerhafter-outlook-datendateie-HA010075831.aspx

Office comes with a tool called "SCANPST.EXE". It's located under C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12

Close Outlook and start the tool. Then select the .pst-File that seems to have issues and the the tool repair it. I automatically creates a backup of the file before modifying it.

I let the tool repair the .pst file and my inbox was fine again.
