On an friend's EasyBox 803 I run into the following problem:
The WiFi was running fine for Ages, but some day he called me because the Client Computers did not connect to WiFi any more. Rebooting EasyBox and Clients did not help.
How-I-fixed-it:
I connect my Computer to the EasyBox using a LAN cable and opened the WebInterface by typing http://easy.box into my browser address bar. Login using your credentials (or the standard ones "root","123456").
Select "WLAN" in the left side menu and change the WLAN key to a new one. Save the data. Enter the new key in the client computers WiFi Connection settings. This fixed it for me.
As a side note:
I then tried to set the WLAN key back to the one printed on the backside of the router. But it did not let me set it to this value because it is not allowed to set it back to the default value once it was set to a different value. So i had to stay with the new key.
This blog is about problems i encountered in everyday life and how i fixed them or worked around them. Sometimes i also just post things to let people out there know about something i think it might be of interest for others than me....

How to connect a TP-Link TL-WA850RE 300Mbps Universal WiFi Range Extender / WLAN Repeater to a Vodafone EasyBox 803 using WPS?
A friend asked me to help him to setup his TP-Link WiFi Repeater with his Vodafone EasyBox 803.
How-I-fixed-it:
Setting up the connection using WPS is pretty straightforward:
1. Plug in the repeater to a socket next to the EasyBox and wait until the Wireless and the RE LED are flashing (the RE will turn off after a while)
2. Press the WPS button on the upper left of your EasyBox (the one with the antenna symbol) for min. 2 seconds until the WiFi light on the frontside of the router starts flashing slowly
3. Press the RangeExtender/WPS button on the frontside of the repeater to start WPS setup. RE is now flashing.
4. After some time (can be up to 1-2 minutes), the RE LED should stay on.
5. The repeater is now connected to WiFi.
No Connection / Manual setup:
Plug the repeater into a socket and connect it to your computer using a LAN cable. In your browser address bar type http://tplinkextender.net. to Login use "admin" for username and password. On the status page it tells you, whether it's connected to WiFi or not.
